Mechanical Feel

The lens body is made of aviation aluminum with an anodized surface and has a good build quality.

With clicked aperture, you can switch it without looking at the lens, especially shooting at night.

The focus ring is designed to fit the finger, bringing a comfortable feel.

About Frameline

The focal length of the lens is 100mm, but because the Leica M camera does not have 100mm frameline, this lens is designed to trigger 90mm framing. (Ignore this if you are using an adapter to use this lens on a non-Leica M camera)

Terrible hard vignetting if you get the Leica M mount version

TTA's small sample images fail to adequately show how bad the hard vignetting is if you get this lens in the M mount version like I did. I tried it on my M10r and M5. Same thing at all apertures, at all distances. Basically you need to crop the images so you will need to compose much wider than you would expect, if you don't want to lose any of your subject matter.
Build quality is really nice. Great feel to the focus action and the aperture action. Optics - apart from the hard vignette - are surprisingly good. The rangefinder calibration is way off - not even close! - so if you are going to use it with a rangefinder to focus be prepared to have to adjust it as they did not bother from the factory.
Would I get it again? Yes, but now w the realization that I need to crop every image. It is cheap though, so for that it is reason enough to get one.
